The brief story description for the remake offered by EA is faithful to the original game’s narrative: Isaac Clarke is an everyman engineer on a mission to repair a vast, sprawling starship, the USG Ishimura, only to discover something has gone horribly wrong. This kicks off a three-game-long fight against the Necromorphs, a race of scary creatures seemingly created by an ancient artifact called the Marker. The series follows Issac Clark, a starship system engineer who answers a distress signal from his girlfriend. I hope EA will do the same for their SecuROM protected games.Additionally, EA also released a lengthy Art Developer Livestream with specific clips as follows:ĭead Space is a sci-fi horror franchise that former EA studio Visceral Games created in 2008. I am grateful to the devs/publishers that chose to remove it and continue to sell the product (Bethesda, Warner, Rockstar, just to name a few that did it right). But remember how devs and publishers handled the Games for Windows Live, with many games effectively disappearing from the stores when MS stopped the bloody service/copy protection. I would love to see SecuROM removed from the games that are still using it (and EA does have quite a few). They really should remove the copy protection, as the SecuROM servers are being shut down for a lot of games and they will probably killed completely, as the company went bust and most of the devs are now working for Denuvo (which was made by former employees from the company that developed SecuROM and currently under a new ownership, as Denuvo was bought by another company specialised in developing copy protections, though their area is DVD, BluRay and music CD).
